We are hiring a Spray Foam Technician to run brand new state-of-the-art equipment. This position will be based out of the Layton, Utah Area. iFoam is expanding its installation operations and is looking for a hard-working individual to join our team.
The standard function of the position is to learn/shadow a Senior technician during the application process, while working under the supervision of a senior technician and next level supervisor. As an apprentice you will participate in a 3-month program focused on internal and external training and development for a technician career. The apprentice is responsible for completing all required coursework, participation in any state mandated apprentice program if needed. This will be the position that will get you ready for the Technician position and/or the Senior Technician position in the near future.
Pay Range: $12.00 to $14.00/Hr.
Responsibilities:
- Install spray foam with supervision of a senior level technician
- Provides reliable, high quality customer support.
- Maintains the necessary truck stock/inventory (equipment and tools).
- Organizes and utilizes technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks with supervision
- Monitors and ensures the progress and completion of assigned tasks with supervision
- Completes and submits all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner with supervision
- Must have a strong work ethic.
- Must be detail-oriented and keep on top of course requirements
- Must complete other projects, as assigned
- Perform scheduled or routine preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment systems under contract agreement. Inspecting, adjusting, cleaning, and calibrating these systems are just a few tasks that could be assigned with supervision
- Complete all state and local coursework that is required
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to clear a pre-employment screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Individuals with experience in the construction field and or knowledgeable are highly encouraged to apply.
- Must obtain and retain any specific product certifications and/or licenses that are required by national, state, and local codes.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- Stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms; push; pull; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.
- Use vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color.
- Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions/circumstances such as with ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, wires, ducts, crawl spaces, attics, above ceilings, etc.
- Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work a full-time, flexible schedule with “on call availability” and must be able to travel on short notice.
- Must be able to drive a motor vehicle (day and evenings) for extended time periods
