IFS has its origin in Enterprise Asset Management and have been delivering solutions to the market for more than thirty years. As part of our growth strategy for Enterprise Asset Management, we are now strengthening our team in Research & Development to continue to deliver solutions for our customers’ digitalization journey.
IFS R&D Asset Management is looking for an experienced Product Manager to drive enhancements of our product suite but also define new investments. As a Product Manager in IFS Research & Development, you will be responsible for managing our offerings within Enterprise Asset Management. You will act as the voice of the customer with a strong emphasis on being able to define product requirements and manage these throughout the entire product lifecycle. As a strong collaborator and networker, you will work with colleagues and stakeholders around the world to ensure successful product launches.
You will be an important part of the Asset Management leadership team and work closely with our growing team of 70 talented and passionate individuals distributed across Sweden, Norway, United States and Sri Lanka. A Product Manager is an evangelist who inspires colleagues, customers and partners both internally and externally. This is a global role, and the successful candidate can work out of any existing IFS office or remotely throughout Europe.
Essential functions include:
- Understand the target users’ needs and business problems. Accordingly, develop short and long-range business plans for product lines consistent with market needs and corporate strategic objectives.
- Determine the total market for the product line to justify the investment and to measure whether market share objectives are being met.
- Gather product’s customer/market requirements from all global regions and across different customer segments and industries. Collaborate with product managers, peers, partners/suppliers, and other stakeholders to build an idea for a feature or function.
- Act as the representative of the business during development.
- Ensure that Business Management has correct information at each stage in the development process to make informed Go/No Go decisions. This requires sound business acumen.
- Lead the definition of the product’s customer values and competitive differentiation to be used in the development of the commercial messaging for the product launch artifacts, trade show materials, and other commercial opportunities.
- Responsible for coordinating with Sales, Commercial Marketing, Solution Architects and Training Center.

In order to be successful in the role we believe the following characteristics are important:
- University degree, or equivalent professional qualifications, in a field relevant for the area of responsibility.
- Domain knowledge and experience related to Enterprise Asset Management.
- Excellent communications skills, ability to lead by influence within a team environment to achieve objectives
- Used to presenting, leading, and inspiring people.
- Experience from relevant industries, markets and used to interact with customers and partners.
- Curious about professional trends and new technologies.
- Experience working as part of a global team.
- Experience in agile software development is a plus.
- Experience in working with IFS products in the relevant area is a plus.
