What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Associate/Bookkeeper position at IGA?
Main responsibilities of an office associate - back up bookkeeper Currently looking for a morning/ mid shift associate. Applicant would need to be 19 in order to scan alcohol and would also do some POS responsibilities. Pay and possibility of FT would depend upon experience level.
• Create a “wow” front-end experience in the store
• Assist associates in creating an overwhelmingly helpful front-end staff
• Give “Superior Guest Service” when assisting all guests.
• Communicate any front-end incompetency's to store bookkeeper / store manager
• Provide guidance to cashiers in prioritizing their job responsibilities
• Maintain quick, efficient check-out procedure by opening additional lanes when necessary, making sure that a mature cashier is scheduled for each shift, and ensuring that express lanes are open and operable at all times.
• Providing the team with the additional focus necessary to provide “above and beyond” service at all times, especially during showtime.
• Maintain front of store cleanliness, inside and out
* Balancing cash drawers
* Providing service at desk for lottery, money orders, returns, etc.
* Ability to effectively resolve complaints
• Keep parking lot free of carts
• Ensure that each front-end associate is always in proper dress code and has a neat and clean appearance
• Promote team work between front-end associates and management
• Make sure that all front-end equipment is running properly at all times
● Providing exceptional service to each customer
● Managing transactions, making sure pricing is accurate
● Processing returns and refunds, and resolving customer complaints
● Bagging and wrapping purchased goods for safe transport
