We have an immediate opening for a Lead Audio Visual Technician to join our Michigan office located in Commerce Township. The technician will be an integral part of a team dedicated to installation and service. We seek individuals with technical aptitude and a great attitude. Ideal candidates will have relevant experience in the audio-visual industry.

Primary Role
Perform installation tasks for AV projects such as pulling and terminating cable, mounting projectors, displays and dvLED walls, rack wiring, etc. Direct installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of AV equipment.
Detailed Activities
- Perform preventative maintenance services, routine testing, and problem diagnosis of integrated systems
- Installation and integration of various AV equipment
- Ensure that all spaces are left neat, clean, and presentable for use
- Maintain IGI quality expectations
- Recognize and adjust to customer needs
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and changing priorities
- Exercise appropriate judgement when dealing with customers and planning/executing tasks
- Complete tasks within the allotted time or faster, making effective use of time
- Effective communication with clients and colleagues
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, schematics, and blueprints
- Test and evaluate new technology and methods of implementation
- Ability to direct any sized project and delegate tasks to level I and II technicians
- Accountable for ensuring that all job tasks are performed in accordance with IGI standards
- Mentor and train level I and II installation technicians
- Develop departmental goals, objectives, and improve operating procedures
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Grow professionally through ongoing training and certifications
- Take initiative to improve personal and professional skills and knowledge
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Advanced knowledge of and experience with construction and AV systems
- Formal education or prior experience in electronics, construction, or other related industries preferred
- Able to differentiate colors
- 4-6 years of related experience as an AV technician preferred
Certifications
- AVIXA CTS/CTS I
- Dante Level 1 & 2
- TesiraForte Certification
- Crestron DigitalMedia Certified Engineer
- Position is based in Commerce Twp., Michigan (some relocation assistance may be considered)
Travel
Regular local and occasional out of state/overnight travel.
Work Hours
Normal work hours for the Lead Audio Visual Technician job are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
