Job purpose
The Demand Planner is responsible for compiling sales forecasts and current demand. Responsible for allocation planning on a monthly basis. Responsible for Global reporting. The Demand Planner reports to the Regional President and Commercial Director.
Key responsibilities
Market development
- Leveraging your education and work experience (preferably in Supply Chain, IT, or a business -related area), you will drive continuous improvement practices and develop action plans to create sustainable demand planning processes. This includes creating visibility to these processes throughout the organization.
- Demonstrating your solid project management skills, ability to deal with conflicting deadlines and priorities, and strong organizational planning skills, you will act as process and application expert for both Demand Planning and IBP, including all 3 types of demand: 3rd Party, Transfer, and Export.
- Having advanced knowledge of how data is transferred within applications and between, you will be responsible for daily maintenance, data analysis, and interface integrity between forecasting and ERP systems, including 3rd Party, Transfer, Export and Financial Forecast.
- Utilizing your robust analytical skills, you will analyze the Demand Planning System’s forecast and provide direction/assistance on how to improve forecast accuracy. You will also review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
- Keep processes and policies up-to-date, lead improvement initiatives in execution of processes within the Operations Supply Chain and Business end user community.
- Responsible for Global forecast reporting to 3 Regions outside of the US
- Analyze MRP system for raw material demand/purchase
- Maintains and reviews computerized, or manual records of items purchased, costs, delivery, product performanc,e and inventories

- Responsible for understanding and practicing appropriate safety procedures and ensuring that those around them do not put themselves or others at risk.
- Signalizes constraints in procedures and suggests solutions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Planning, Engineering, Applied Economics or other relevant degree
Experience
- 5 years relevant work experience running S&OP, Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Demand Planning. Additional expertise in implementation and continuous improvement of S&OP (IBP) and Demand Planning processes in a major (chemical) company is preferred
- CPIM/IBF certification (or working toward)
- International business background, working for a multi-national manufacturing company.
- Process oriented with a passion for excellence; demonstrated willingness to challenge status quo and drive continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate balanced approach to business, operations, cost and service.
- Excellent contract development skills, contract management and negotiation skills.
