Provo Canyon School is a 24/7 secure residential treatment center (behavioral health) for male and female adolescents aged 12 through 17. We counsel, teach and mentor students who have psychiatric disorders. Our goal is to provide treatment that results in positive changes, allowing these youth to return to their families and communities.


The Job Position

Provo Canyon School is on the hunt for a qualified UTILIZATION REVIEW COORDINATOR.

A Utilization Review Coordinator for the BOYS PROGRAM maintains insurance files for assigned patient. Ensures they contain the proper documentation as appropriate. Ensures that authorization to communicate has been received for each patient assigned. Acts as liaison between payor and care provider. Monitors CRSR status and gives to therapy coordinator. Notifies case manager of each patient discharge. Logs call, date time and person notified. Maintains composure during stressful interactions.

Qualifications:
Qualifications required at entry include:

Bachelor’s degree required, previous experience in utilization review and/or medical billing preferred; current licensure as RN, LPN, or Clinical Therapist preferred (unlicensed UR Coordinator will operate under the UR Manager license);Previous experience in utilization review and medical billing preferred; current licensure required (CSW, LCSW, LMFT,CMCH, or other applicable master?s degree). Written and oral communication skills; legible handwriting, ability to interact effectively with clinical team and other staff; organizational, problem-solving and time management skills; telephone etiquette and customer service skills for phone and face-to-face contacts; skills in maintaining information as highly confidential.
