What are the responsibilities and job description for the IHOP Host/Hostess position at IHOP?
As a Host/Hostess, you will have the opportunity to provide a memorable first impression to our guests by promptly, cheerfully and courteously welcoming them. Greeting with a smile and making our guests feel welcome is the most important thing we can do and that privilege belongs to this job!
Other duties include:
Opening the door for guest arriving and departing
Accommodating any special needs of guests, i.e., boosters, highchairs, disabilities
Answering the phone
Managing an online wait list
Taking, entering and packaging to-go orders, including delivering to vehicle as needed
Providing guest assistance to servers as needed, serving food and drinks, cleaning tables, etc.
A qualified applicant believes in showing up to work on time, well-groomed with a clean uniform ready to work!
Must have good communication skills, able to lift 5-15 pounds, stand for up to 8 hours, occasionally use motion which entails pushing, pulling, stretching and continuous bilateral use of fingers and wrists.
