A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SHIFT LEAD
As a Shift Lead, you run shifts alongside or in the absence of our assistant manager and general manager. You assign responsibilities to each team member and supervise performance. As needed, you assist with the training of new employees and refresher training for current employees. When new menu items and specials are offered, you keep the team updated so that they can provide the best possible food service.
You review all timecards. You also enforce our quality standards and help resolve any customer complaints. When new deliveries come you check for the correct quantity and quality. You check daily sales reports and receipts, make deposits as required, and make sure that all registers have the correct amount of bills and change. You get great satisfaction from using your leadership skills in this restaurant management position!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SHIFT LEAD
- Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
- Experience in the food service industry
- Willingness to undergo a background check upon hire
