What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at IHOP?
Server
You will be responsible for providing an outstanding experience for all our guests. Specific duties include greeting guests, taking orders, serving drinks and food and accommodating guests’ needs in a courteous and timely manner. Servers greet our guests, answer questions, make suggestions regarding food and drinks, cleans guest tables and area, and create a friendly and upbeat atmosphere for guests. Servers relay orders to the kitchen via a point-of sale computerized register system and are responsible for presenting the guest check and accepting cash or credit card payment. Qualified applicants must be able to read and write and have effective communication skills, stand for up to 8 hours, be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds and have full mobility of hands and arms while performing repetitive tasks such as transporting plates, glasses and baskets to and from kitchen to dining room.
