What are the responsibilities and job description for the KY3P Commercial Lead Americas position at IHS Markit?
IHS Markit has a requirement for an experienced Commercial Director to support its Regulatory and Compliance solution, KY3P®. KY3P is IHS Markit’s patented and industry-leading solution for Third Party Risk Management (TPRM). This role will report to the Global Head of TPRM Solutions and will be responsible for leading our commercial offering of the KY3P solutions in the Americas. The role requires the candidate to have excellent TPRM experience, strong regulatory analysis skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational/ coordination skills. He/She will be responsible for developing sophisticated solutions for industry-leading prospects and clients, analyzing and monitoring global regulations that impact vendor risk management, and helping shape the KY3P product offering.
The successful candidate will be a member of the KY3P Commercial team and will work closely with Sales, the Product Management, Operations, and Marketing teams to drive initiatives. These initiatives will include:
- Be a vendor risk management subject matter expert with own experience of TPRM, such as:
- Program policy development
- Program execution and controls
- Due diligence activities such as cyber security, financial controls, sanctions, etc.
- Work with sales as a consultant on best practices in vendor risk management
- Keep abreast of current and changing trends and regulatory requirements impacting vendor risk management, specifically in the Americas
- Lead discussions with clients and prospects, including RFI/RFPs, hosting roundtables, on regulatory obligations, compliance, and best practices.
- Provide new client and regulatory requirements to the KY3P product management team to help build and shape product features
The ideal candidate will possess the following requirements and skills:
Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree minimum
- Candidates will have 10-15 years’ experience in TPRM or Supplier management
- Experience with industry regulatory bodies with direct oversight of third party risk is highly desired
- Experience at a large consulting firm (e.g., Big 4) in creating sophisticated, client-focused TPRM solutions, including both technology and managed services
Commercial awareness:
- Experience in supplier management
- Experience with revenue generation – can create value propositions to clients
- Highly analytical - can apply an analytical lens to potential solutions
Management requirements:
- Experience working with large, complex clients as well as small, demanding clients
- Experience working internally with multiple teams
Personal competencies:
- The successful candidate will be a driven self-starter, who can be assertive and resourceful where necessary
- Ability to work independently whilst regularly keeping the team updated on progress and developments
- Must be organized and with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail
- Understand the process and needs of developing a business scope for software development
- Ability to meet internal/external deadlines
- Ability to present to management and clients
- Ability to manage client expectations
Communication:
- Ability to listen, learn quickly, and demonstrate initiative
- Ability to communicate effectively across teams and partners
- Excellent communication skills – listening, writing, speaking is a major pre-requisite
- External communications are a critical component of the job as new product development and implementation will require major and thorough communication with customers and other relevant third-parties
