I.K. Hofmann USA has immediate openings for Export Agent to work on-site with our client located in Atlanta, GA.

Job Summary

Export Agent plays a crucial role in facilitating international trade and ensuring the smooth movement of goods across borders. This role involves coordinating and overseeing various aspects of exporting goods from one country to another while navigating complex regulations, documentation, and logistical challenges. Export Agents work in collaboration with exporters, shipping companies, freight forwarders, customs officials, and other stakeholders to ensure that shipments reach their intended destinations efficiently and in compliance with international trade laws.

Responsibilities:

•Prepares for rate quote, arrange booking and pick up

•Provides booking information and on-hand report to clients

•Oversees documentation error prevention, pre-alerts and accurate AES filing

•Coordinates the consolidations or co-loadings for better profitability

•Obtains better rates from carriers and trucking

•Checks surcharges and GRI

•Reviews Customer contract and rates

•Verifies invoice and Account Payable and Account Receivable

•Coordinates and ensures to post Invoices on time

•Prepares monthly ISO report; send out surveys and service evaluation

•Coordinates preparation of inventory and on-hand report

•Reviews Customer contract and rates

•Coordinates warehouse operations

Qualifications and Skills:

•1 year of previous Export experience

•High School Diploma or equivalent

•Must have good English written and verbal communication skills

•Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Minimum Essential Requirements:

•Basic English reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.

•Knowledge of office processes, procedures, and technology, Experience in supervising team activities.

•Ability to read and interpret accounting and financial reports.

•Excellent communication skills.

Work Environment:

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work. May require work in warehouse and/or outdoors.

Pay Rate:

$22.00 - $25.00 an hour

Schedule:

9:00am to 5:00pm

Monday to Friday
