What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Robot Welder position at iLink Resources, Inc.?
We are looking for a 2nd Shift Robot Welder. The hours would be from 2:30pm-1am, Monday-Thursday. Pay range is $21-22/hour depending on experience.
The Fabricator – Robotic Fitter Welder, assembles and welds a wide range of components by interfacing with the robot’s computer controls to program, set up and weld the robotic welding machine. Manual processes will also be used. This employee is qualified in the GMAW and FCAW processes.

The Fabricator – Robotic Fitter Welder, assembles and welds a wide range of components by interfacing with the robot’s computer controls to program, set up and weld the robotic welding machine. Manual processes will also be used. This employee is qualified in the GMAW and FCAW processes.
The Fabricator 2- Robot Welder Will
- Program robotic welders to fit up and weld using the full capabilities of the robotic equipment to produce a wide range fabrications.
- Set up and operate robotic, semi-automatic or manual welding equipment, select the most productive process, including wire, current, voltage and shielding gas in accordance with established welding procedures. Using AWS and ASTM as references.
- Control heat distortion and increase productivity of welded fabrications by using the full capabilities of the welding equipment. As required, correct heat distortion through use of flame straightening, clamps, jacks etc.
- Fit-up, a variety of fabrications by tack welding or fastening using a variety of erection techniques including fixtures.
- Perform welding in the flat and horizontal positions using the GMAW and FCAW processes.
- Perform and qualify to weld in other positions as required.
- Perform other fabrication processes such as grinding, beveling, hand burning, punching, drilling, shearing, sawing, assembly and basic maintenance as directed.
- Safely operate overhead cranes, fork trucks and rig large heavy awkward fabrications.
- All other duties as assigned.
