Illinois Crop Improvement Association is looking for self-motivated individuals who enjoy the outdoors for seasonal field inspector positions. The inspection season is from mid-June until mid-October with openings in various counties around Illinois.
Duties:
Inspectors are based out of their homes and receive their work orders from the home office in Champaign, IL. Day-to-day work is dependent on plant growth stage of the field and the number of fields available around the inspector’s location. The average time commitment is 30 hours per week, but this is variable depending on the growth stage of the fields to be inspected. Fields may require multiple visits over the course of multiple weeks. No experience is necessary, and training will be provided. Must be 18 years of age to apply.
Requirements:
Hourly wage covers training, field inspections, completing and mailing paperwork, travel time to and from fields, and all other work-related duties. Mileage is reimbursed at the current IRS rate for all work-related driving.
