Duties include daily animal care which includes feeding, watering and examining laboratory animals for signs of illness, disease, or injury. Cleaning and disinfecting cages and work areas, and sterilizing laboratory equipment. May be asked to administer medication orally or topically. Documentation and communication of animal care concerns to veterinarians or laboratory animal technicians are critical.

$14.00/hour

Experience with animal husbandry preferred.

10 hours per week

All weekends and university closure days are required. The remainder of the time will be done Monday through Friday. Periodic exceptions to the weekend and university closure days may be granted based on the needs of the department and its staff.

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.
