Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and energetic individual to serve as Office Clerical Support. Under direction, this position will perform a variety of complex, specialized clerical services for the Statewide Safety Learning Manager and other professional staff. The position will process requests for training registrations, including, but not limited to communication with other member agencies, community-based service providers, and professional staff. The position will also enter training classes, schedules, and registrations into the Virtual Training Center, close out classes, and document training participation. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who is detail oriented and interested in playing a supporting role in the Department’s training operations. Job Responsibilities
- Serves as Office Clerical Support in the Office of Learning and Professional Development.
- Processes requests for training registrations, including, but not limited to communication with other member agencies, community-based service providers, and professional staff.
- Establishes, organizes, and maintains files.
- Serves as timekeeper for assigned areas.
- Provides clerical office support to professional staff.
- Orients professional and other clerical staff regarding Departmental and OLPD rules and office procedures.
- Attends and provides input into team meetings.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school
- Requires 2 years of office experience
- Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 45 wpm

- Requires ability to pass a background check.
- Requires possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
