IT and Infrastructure Support Specialist

Location and Travel Details: Dayton, OH area

Illumination Works is looking for an IT and Infrastructure Support Specialist to assist with technical needs. In this role, you will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.

The key responsibilities of an IT and Infrastructure Support Specialist include:

• Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, and associated cloud services and capabilities, etc. in accordance with standards, security practices and operational requirements
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all cloud services, hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
• Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions
• Review Quarterly scans and perform network, service and infrastructure remediation
• Monitor backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up appropriately
• Create, change, and delete user accounts per request
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues on user hardware, server infrastructure and cloud services
• Repair and recover from hardware or software failures
• Apply OS patches and upgrades on a monthly basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities
• Configure / add new services as necessary
• Upgrade and configure system software to support operational needs

Key skills we look for include:

• Must have 2 years of experience
• Proficient in Azure AD, Windows Server, Office 360 services
• Experience supporting Windows 10 and 11 environments as well as virtual environments such as VMware, Oracle, and Hyper V management
• Experience with asset management: Dell, MacOS, Cisco switches, access points, routers, and computer peripherals
• Experience supporting Hybrid MS Cloud infrastructure and a remote workforce
• Experience with the following –
  • Veeam Backup solutions
  • Endpoint Management Solutions / Patch Management system
  • AWS Cloud S3
  • SonicWall firewall
  • Vendor Management
  • KnowBe4 training solutions
  • Trend micro-Cloud security and XDR management
  • DUO MFA administration
  • Jira administration
  • Incident Response and Disaster Response planning
  • Helpdesk Management: Spiceworks
• Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or comparable academic discipline or 4 years of hands on experience
• Must have or be willing to obtain Secret Clearance (this requires US citizenship)
• Acceptable candidates must successfully pass a drug test and background screen
