Here are the details.
This exciting role is responsible for leading the credit department in balancing our fiduciary responsibility to mitigate financial risks with business partnership. The A/R manager will develop and maintain the credit strategies such as liens, bonds, guarantees, and financial assessments to mitigate collection risks.
Detailed Responsibilities:
The A/R Manager supervises and directs the work of both the Collections Specialist and A/R Clerk. The A/R Manager reports to the CFO
Manage customer accounts and review payment and credit history for customer base
Manage the collection process and perform collections for key customers
Provide risk assessments of new or troubled accounts and determine best practices to minimize risk (liens, bonds, personal guarantees, etc.).
Review delinquent accounts and payment disputes and manage collections on these items. Collaborate with senior management, and sales team on developing strategies to resolve any issues preventing payment.
Participate in regular AR reviews and Seeks assistance, guidance or decision-making from Director of Credit when necessary.
Responsible for internal/external credit communications, ensuring appropriate content, tone and timely delivery of necessary company communications.
Manage a team of credit professionals. Help develop employee potential, by using coaching skills and creating individual development plans. Evaluate employee performance and review compensation following company procedures.
Represent the company's business interests at all times in a positive and professional manner and conduct business transactions and communications in a fair and ethical manner.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive business information.
Enforce company policies and follow guidelines to achieve impartial objectives and fairness.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Attend Monthly National Association of Credit Management meetings. NACM β Electrical Industry Group.
Preferred Experience
5 plus years Commercial credit and collections experience.
Construction credit experience with Liens and Bond rights, preferred
Microsoft Excel: Preferred
Well organized multi-tasker with A communication skills, written and verbal
4-year degree preferred but not required
