The Chief of Clinical Operations is responsible for overseeing the clinical services and policies of all outpatient treatment programs in Columbus, GA. They will provide leadership, administrative supervision, and maintain medical practice standards throughout the facility.
This role involves coordinating and completing projects that support the company's objectives, ensuring eligibility of patients referred to home care services, planning and supervising their home health care, implementing and maintaining administrative practices, and enhancing the agency's profitability. Additionally, the Chief of Clinical Operations acts as a liaison with management and other departments within the company.

- Provide supervision to ensure high-quality patient care services across the entire episode of care. This includes overseeing referral coordination, continual patient needs assessment, development and updates of individualized care plans, and effective communication with staff through conferences and mandatory in-services.
- Supervise patient care to ensure its safe, economical, and efficient delivery, adhering to accepted nursing and medical practices, federal/state regulations, Joint Commission standards, payer source criteria, and company policies. Verify that patient care aligns with physicians' orders.
- Monitor and assess the performance of agency staff, utilizing clinician scorecards and annual performance evaluations.
- Ensure the hiring of qualified personnel by overseeing licensure verification, certification, and credentialing processes, according to legal requirements and policies.
- Collaborate in staff recruitment to maintain adequate staffing levels, operating within the staffing model.
- Serve as a member of the Management Team and QAPI Team, implementing Performance Improvement Projects and yearly strategic agency planning. Maintain and document an infection control program to prevent and control infections and communicable diseases.
- Participate in annual strategic agency planning and ensure the completion of any required action plans.
- Conduct regular meetings with the medical director, approving their invoices and submitting them monthly to the Home Office for payment.
- Drive operational metrics, including productivity, VBP, SVP, ACH, claims alert, late EMS, unverified services, orders audit, and agency financial statements, aligning with company goals for operational efficiency, growth, quality, and finances. Address issues and implement action plans as needed.
- Act as the Emergency Coordinator in the absence of the Executive Director/Alternate Executive Director during emergencies, ensuring the execution of appropriate plans.
- Communicate professionally with all customers to represent the agency and conduct timely and thorough investigations of concerns raised by patients, caregivers, and referral sources. Follow up with complainants to ensure satisfaction with the resolution of complaints. Maintain confidential documentation and collaborate with the sales team to drive business growth. Perform any other assigned duties.
License Requirements
- Hold a current RN license in the state of practice.
- Must have previous experience in Home Health.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Hold a current Driver's License and have vehicle insurance, with access to a reliable vehicle or public transportation.
