Opportunity for a Quality Assurance Superintendent at a poultry processing plant in Goldsboro, NC.
Responsibilities: Provide leadership, direction, and execution to all plant Quality Assurance functions to support continuous focus on product quality to ensure all products meet or exceed customer, regulatory and company requirements as they relate to product quality and food safety. Will act as plant authority on all quality matters and work in conjunction with the Complex QA/FS Manager and staff to ensure product safety and quality are always maintained. Position requires some cross functional skills with HACCP Manager. This position will assist QA Supervisors in decision making and provide training and leadership for the QA Department.

- Manages all activities of the Quality Assurance Department in a manner which results in consistent results as measured through the company matrix and customer satisfaction.
- Help develop, document, and implement quality measurements and procedures to ensure product quality is always monitored and maintained.
- Ensure current and future product specifications and programs are manageable in the plant environment and provide operational support to ensure ALL programs are successful.
- Enforces all food safety and quality standards as outlined in the plant’s food safety programs and product specifications. Help maintain all required documentation.
- Develop a professional working relationship and act as a plant liaison with USDA staff.
- Ensure Quality Assurance programs are properly communicated, and plant employees have a working knowledge of the programs through training and mentoring.
- Must have supervisory experience
- Must have poultry processing experience
- Working knowledge of plant functions – production, maintenance, warehouse, shipping, sanitation and GFSI concepts.
