What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician position at IMA Providers?
The IMA Group is experiencing unprecedented growth and we are hiring Full Time, Part Time and or Fee For Service Licensed Physicians as part of our healthcare clinical team to perform Consultative Evaluations (CE's) for numerous government agencies.
Responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Review available documentation including claimant history.
- Perform appropriate Physical.
- Spend the appropriate amount of time with the claimant.
- Review ancillary testing reports, i.e., EKG, PFT, Doppler.
- ACLS certified and IMA trained on treadmill (GXTs).
- Supply medical information from which a determination can be made.
- Dictate a narrative report the same day, following IMA and client guidelines.
- Review and sign reports within 48 hours.
- Explain your role to the claimant: Maintain no doctor/patient relationship
- Follow IMA policy of no claimant referrals, no claimant treatment and no claimant prescribing.
- Maintain professional dress according to IMA standards, as well as professional demeanor at all times.
- Report any extreme situations: suicidal/homicidal ideations, abuse.
- Perform other related duties as assigned and work hours necessary for completion.
Requirements:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Active and Unrestricted Medical License (Most Specialties of Medicine acceptable)
Preference: Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Physical medicine and Rehab., Occupational medicine, Rheumatology and or any sub specialties of Primary care or Internal medicine)
