Imaginations at Work is looking for energetic, creative, passionate people looking to make a difference in the lives of the children we teach everyday. Imaginations at Work is a Step Up To Quality 5-star center, with enrollment from 6 weeks to 12 years of age. We offer a before and after school program, as well as a 1/2 day Kindergarten Enrichment. We are hiring Lead Teachers.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency
  • Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Weekly Lesson Planning (Creative Curriculum)
  • Completion of assessments on the children in the classroom (Teaching Strategies Gold)
  • Sending home daily updates on our app
  • Maintaining state regulated ratios
  • Creating a fun, safe, and educational environment
  • Using Developmentally Appropriate Practices with the children
  • Maintain control, routine, management, and sanitation of the classroom
  • Parent Communication

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $12.50 per hour

Benefits:

  • Paid time off

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No nights
  • No weekends

Experience:

  • Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
