Middle School Theatre Teacher

Hiring for 2023-2024 school year.
The Imagine International Academy of North Texas, an open enrollment charter school, offers the International Baccalaureate Educational Framework for students in grades Kindergarten - 12. Academic rigor, a focus on critical thinking with a purpose, leadership training, and exposure to a variety of world viewpoints provide our students with the tools needed to become leaders in a global society.

Responsibilities and Duties

Provide quality instruction in International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme Theatre classes. Productions are part of theatre. Involvement in service learning activities is expected.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in theatre or closely related field required. Master's degree preferred. Teacher certification in EC-12 Music or Theatre preferred. Prior experience with IB project-based learning, and differentiated instruction preferred. International experience an advantage. Ability to embrace flexibility and space sharing are required. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.

Benefits

Wednesday is an early release day for students. Wednesday afternoon is used by faculty as a time for planning, collaboration, and alignment meetings. Students are on a block schedule. Teachers have two planning periods during each two-day block. Teachers have 10 days of paid time off and four days for Professional Development of their choosing. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $33,300.00 - $36,630.00 per year
