Position Summary
As a Project Manager focusing on Economic Development incentives and Workforce Development programs, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and managing various initiatives aimed at fostering economic growth in Monroe County, NY. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the allocation and utilization of grants, as well as assisting in the management of COMIDA's Workforce Development programs. Reporting to the Director of Operations and working closely with the Deputy Director, you will ensure strict adherence to compliance standards across all Industrial Development Agency (IDA) projects. This position demands a self-motivated individual with a demonstrated history of problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· Manage grant opportunity preparation including conducting research and gathering internal and external data to support grant requests, drafting, editing, revising, and submitting grant proposals.
· Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets related to grant proposals.
· Work with external partners to assist in the development of Workforce Development programs.
· Monitor and collect performance metrics for Workforce Development programs and provide regular updates to senior staff
· Assist in project compliance monitoring including monitoring compliance with COMIDA projects and coordinating with businesses to obtain necessary information for monitoring compliance.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date program documentation, including plans, reports, and other relevant records.
· Assisting senior management in various assignments as needed.
· Write and edit executive summaries, conclusions, organizational descriptions, program descriptions, and other reports as required by senior staff
Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, public policy, economic development, financial or policy analysis, or other related field.
· Experience submitting federal, state, or county level grant with many intricacies, deadlines, and deliverables preferred
· Experience in writing, submitting and managing grants preferred
· Knowledge of economic development procedures related to local government and businesses
· Experience with New York State programs and statutes including Industrial Development Agencies regulations preferred
· Methodical and strategic thinking

· Excellent oral and written communications skills
· Capable of balancing multiple priorities effectively

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
