Position Title: Office Manager
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Reports to: School Leader/Principal
Position Description: Responsible for overseeing office services. Manages and maintains school records.
Essential Functions:
- Implement office policies and establish standards and procedures.
- Organize and supervise office staff and operations.
- Take care of all relevant telephone, letter and personal inquiries, ensuring appropriate follow-up communication is provided in each instance.
- Organize school meetings including arranging the venues and necessary facilities, informing participants, and recording minutes as required.
- Record and monitor office expenditures.
- Assist in training and orientation of new staff, specifically those involved in clerical work.
- Responsible for recruiting, interviewing and selecting employees for vacant clerical positions.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the Imagine Schools Non-Profit Six Measures of Excellence in the execution of duties.
- Model positive character virtues and habits. Assist students in developing positive moral and performance character attributes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Principal/School Leader.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Associates Degree/Bachelors Degree.
- Experience: 3-5 years similar experience.
- ·Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask when necessary. Ability to exercise independent judgment in making decisions within the established policies and procedures. Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills, communication skills, spelling, punctuation and grammar. Demonstrate attention to detail and necessary expertise to complete all tasks. Ability to communicate cooperatively and constructively with other staff, students and parents in a multi-cultural environment. Ability to remain pleasant and helpful under sometimes-stressful circumstances.
