What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nuclear Medicine Technologist/PET/CT position at Imaging Healthcare Specialists, LLC?
Summary: The Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Technologist whose priorities will be to review patient order, image per protocol, and post-process while following Single Flow protocols emulate LEAN principles. This will be accomplished by coaching, teaching, and assisting daily operations as needed with a focus on IHS’s standard for excellent patient care.

Status: Full-Time and Per Diem

Currently, we are looking for a Nuclear Med PET/CT Technologist to join the team!
Essential Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Hands-on engagement in understanding and applying Lean
- Maintains an unrelenting focus on improvement and providing customer value
- Makes learning and practicing of Lean principals a daily priority.
- Primary focus will be to follow and teach Single Patient flow protocols to stay with one patient throughout their visit.
- Obtain patients' histories from electronic records, patient interviews, dictated reports, or by communicating with referring clinicians.
- Responsible to review patient orders image requests, patient questions and perform image procedures while upholding IHS patient service quality standards.
- Prepare comprehensive interpretive reports of findings. Perform or interpret the outcomes of diagnostic imaging procedures including magnetic resonance imaging.
- Act as instructor to other technicians on company desired techniques for imaging and best practices.
- Review or transmit images and information using picture archiving or communications systems.
- Coaches team that communicates examination results or diagnostic information to referring physicians, patients, or families.
- Evaluate medical information to determine patients' risk factors, such as allergies to contrast agents, or to make decisions regarding the appropriateness of procedures.
- Confer with medical professionals regarding image-based diagnoses.
- Provide suggestions to management for any coaching and performance coaching while observing technicians.
- Assist Modality Manager enforce standards for protection of patients or personnel.
- Monitor and assist with procedures to ensure adequate quality control of images. Interpret images using computer-aided detection or diagnosis systems.
- Responsible to maintain schedule of technicians for assigned modality.
- Must finalize and post process all image procedures and prepare for review by other departments while completing the Single Patient flow.
- Must prepare and respond to correspondence for unread exams, QA Notes, shift reports, incident reports and inquiry statuses
- Will be required to report any non-operable equipment and maintenance needs of imaging equipment to your supervisor.
- Must perform and lead a team that images procedures while upholding IHS patient service quality standards.
- Will contribute to company goals by acting as a backup for other IHS departments as required.
- Will help facilitate maintenance needs of imaging equipment and prepare reports to Modality Manager for review and approval.
