Position Summary: Reporting to the IT Manager the Mobile Developer will be responsible for creating, maintaining, documenting, and implementing services to support IMC mobile apps and mobile platform programs. The position works as a part of the mobile team – coordinating with team members to meet the needs for deliverables and maintaining proper code management practices.


Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Developer to join our Agile development team. If you are an experienced developer with a strong background in service development, who enjoys challenging, fast-paced projects in a growing company, we’re looking for you!


Important Job Functions

  • Support the entire software development lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support)
  • Create Java services in a Linux environment for mobile applications using clean, well-documented, code
  • Ensure solutions meet IMC’s SOA & GUI standards
  • Maintain codebase and implement appropriate CI/CD practices as the standard for the mobile team
  • Participate and assist with releases, builds, and associated testing practices
  • Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance


Other Skills/Abilities

  • Experience with GIT SCCS.
  • Working from an established codebase.
  • Web Services: SOA, XML, REST, JSON
  • PostgreSQL
  • Wildfly
  • Basic Cryptography skills (how to create/use secure connections, signing, certificate).
  • Multi-Threaded (Concurrent Process) development familiarity.
  • Knowledge of backend web services technology.
  • Possesses strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Self-motivated; able to work within an Agile, team environment.
  • Effective collaborator with both non-technical and technical team members.
  • Proficient in time management.
  • Other tools and technologies: Docker, Ionic, JavaScript, Native Android and/or iOS


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.
