JOB DISCRIPTION*
The Director, Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for budgeting, planning, and financial analysis, of the Entertainment, Consumer Brands, and eCommerce businesses of iMedia Brands. In this role you will use an entrepreneurial approach to drive business insights and continuous improvement, bring a quantitative, data-driven mindset and have outstanding organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*
- Prepare the annual budgeting in a timely manner. Create, develop, maintain, and communicate to the departments the annual operating/financial budget, including the dissemination of functional departments annual budget. Report on variances and develop actions.
- Responsible for the annual Capital Budget, including project planning, investments, and ROI. Work with capital project owners to ensure that all capital projects are meeting expectations.
- Collects and compiles in a timely manner, the financial information of the business units and oversees the preparation of financial forecasts, and management reporting and analysis.
- Support requests for Board meetings and other ad hoc projects that may require financial modeling.
- Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
- Assesses current and past trends and other variables in all areas, revenue, cost of goods, expenses, operational metrics, and capital allocation. Work with business owners to ensure achievement of annual goals and targets.
- Monitor and report against KPI’s across all operational areas and measure efficiency and performance to set expectations and identify challenges.
- Work with Controller to ensure monthly costs are reflected accurately in the month end process.
- Provide analytical rigor and evaluate strategic initiatives.
- Effectively managing intercompany costs, chargebacks, and allocations.
- Take the lead on managing and participating in cost reviews, driving cost saving activities and planning of new businesses.
- Provide ongoing financial analysis and insights and support to the business to drive profitability.
- Regularly meets with department leaders to review monthly operating results.
- Other ad hoc requests, responsibilities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES*
- Degree in Finance or Accounting required. MBA preferred.
- 10 years’ experience in various job-related areas including budgeting, financial analysis, accounting, forecasting and business planning.
- Experience in retail, eCommerce, or media company handling full P&L preferred.
- Proven analytical/quantitative and communication skills and strong executive presence.
- Demonstrates thought leadership and manages relationships with senior partners.
- To ensure service levels, it is essential that the individual in this role be able to work a regular and reliable schedule as provided by management.
- Given the significant responsibilities of this role, it is essential that this role be filled on a full-time basis only.
- It is essential that the duties of this role be performed onsite at iMedia’s facility.
