Project & Data Manager
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Lead the training, communication and implementation of processes for managing the NPD portfolio within BA Provide guidance and direction to project owners to ensure implementation of NPD best practices
- Be the Business Process Owner within BA or the portfolio management tool (Accolade)
- Ensure that complete and accurate data is entered into Accolade in a timely manner by all project owners
- Provide insightful analysis of the portfolio for both formal and ad hoc business reviews
- Communicate qualitative and quantitative portfolio analysis to all stakeholders as required
- Participate in the Portfolio Manager community across Imerys to identify and implement best practices
- Leads high performance team through appropriate management rituals and attracts, develops and retains team members in his/ her perimeter (beyond direct reports)
- Responsible for embodying One Imerys Approach, specifically collaboration with other BAs for common customers and markets
- Act as a key member of the BA management team
- Drives transformation and implements new organization and ways of working for his/her perimeter
- Ensure compliance with agreed processes and reporting for projects, attend project meetings to ensure these occur, ensure that information is distributed to relevant stakeholders.
- Identify best practices and methodologies for Performance Minerals Americas S&T project planning, management and efficient practices, translating lessons learned into S&T project management processes
- Develop materials and methodologies for continuous training of the project organization on the NPD process
- Develop internal cross functional relationships with a strong “one team focus” mentality to achieve innovation pipeline targets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in Technical Services or R&D roles
- 2 years experience in Project Management Office
- Successful US-based candidates must be fully vaccinated before the employment start date unless exempted by applicable law.
- Knowledge of Stage-Gate processes
- Multi-cultural understanding, strong work ethic, attention to detail, ability to challenge project leaders and teams is also necessary
- Strong time-management, problem-solving and communication skills are also required, along with the desire to be part of a rapidly growing and dynamic organization
- Ability to respond to changing priorities and high degree of flexibility
