The Position
North America Quality Manager (PMA NA)
Job Summary
Imerys, the global leader in Specialty Minerals, has an exciting new Career Opportunity for a North America Quality Manager. This role has multi-site responsibility covering Imerys’ PMA NA footprint.
The location for this position will be in Roswell, GA or Work From Home, if close to an IMERYS Location and a major airport.

The Quality Manager will define and implement Best-in Class Quality Assurance and Control practices within the business area, in line with Imerys group and industry policies, standards and guidelines to enhance customer satisfaction and improve process efficiency and cost competitiveness.
The role will lead quality related projects and interact with other BA's, including BA QMS structure development, software selection, and 5 year plan.
It will be part of the PMA NA Industrial Support group, which is a team of SME’s (subject matter experts) with the mission of charting the strategic technical direction in key technical areas, and providing support for PMA NA plants in complex technical issues.
Travel requirements around 25-50% depending on activity.
A Day In The life Could Include:
Drive the implementation of a proactive quality management system and practices across relevant Business Area functions and sites in line with local regulations and industry requirements
Ensures Business Area quality assurance practices are in line with regulatory / industrial and Imerys group guidelines
Define, collect and analyze service and product quality KPIs.
Supports corrective action plans definition.
Monitors resolution progress
Defines Quality documentation processes
Coordinates all product quality improvement initiatives across Business Area
Coordinates continuous improvement of quality control practices
Actively participates in quality-related discussions with Key Account customers.
Validates sales product / service specifications in coordination with other Business Area functions.
Ensures consistency with product catalog, industrial capabilities, internal specifications.
Ensures no over-quality
Directly manages all quality claims from Business Area Top 10 customers
Raise awareness of all Business Area functions on product design / properties impact on application properties.
Ensures “Fit for Use” product criteria are fully taken into account to process changes on sites
Leads consumables / raw material homologation process in coordination with Purchasing Center of Excellence and Industrial VP
Validates / prioritizes CAPEX related to quality improvement and analytical tools
Key interfaces: BA Segments, BA Industrial VP, Hub Operations Directors, Hub Quality Managers, Imerys Center Of Excellence for Industrial - I3, GTI Path Forward / Purchasing
What You Will Bring to The Position:
Bachelors in Engineering or Science
5 years experience in Quality Assurance / Quality control system implementation and management
Good knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems and practices
QMS development and implementation experience
Ability to positively influence teams in a matrix organization
Problem solver
Continuous Improvement mindset
Strong analytical skills, incl. research
Commercial awareness: ability to work within commercial constraints / anticipate customers’ expectations
ISO certification, preferred
