Start your Voyage – Apply Now To measure, monitor and report risk associated with fundamental equity investments in San Francisco. Work closely with peers in New York and Atlanta. To communicate to the broader investment management platform the risks and in San Francisco managed assets. Liaise and partner with investment teams. To serve as a key contributor broadly to the investment risk team. A key focus will be San Francisco assets but will be involved with broader investment risk team projects. Key Responsibilities Produce a suite of risk monitoring reports on a periodic basis and discuss findings with asset managers and senior members of the risk team Provide well-supported, understandable, and practical information to the investors to help them better manage portfolios Improve efficiency of risk reporting processes by automating reports and eliminating redundancies. Focus continually on process improvements and automation using standard IT Technology stack (e.g. Microsoft Development Tools, etc.) Monitor changes in risk exposures included equity style factors and geographic and industry exposures Regularly interface with the Fundamental Growth/Equity tech team in San Francisco and other business partners across the organization to discuss, identify, document and assist with remediation of risks. Deliver projects as both individual contributor and project lead and possess strong project management skills to translate high level goals and objectives into actions and tasks. Participate and/or lead in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Person is expected to be self-motivated and comfortable working independently as well as with the direction of more senior Risk Management staff. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with a major or subject focus on finance, economics or statistics required Master’s degree in finance, economics or statistics a plus CFA or FRM designation or a progress towards similar certification a plus 2-5 years of experience in risk management or front office role that enabled the acquisition of requisite financial market skills Prior experience in equity markets strongly preferred. Fixed Income knowledge a plus. Experience and proficiency with Blackrock Aladdin, MS SQL, Excel VBA, Bloomberg, Power BI a plus Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to communicate and interact with senior management and portfolio managers. Strong analytical and problem solving skills required Strong planning and organization skills required Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
