This role supports the Akron Billing Center in Fairlawn, OH.

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW :

The Payment Processing Representative provides overall support and preparation of documents for the Payment Posting (Patient Accounts) team.

The representative is responsible for downloading bank reports, downloading and preparing mail and correspondence batches, scanning live checks, processing credit cards payments, downloading payer remittance advices from websites and calling carriers to obtain missing remittance advices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Download all deposits and correspondence from bank portal
  • Download of 5 / 3 bank reports from bank portal daily
  • Process credit card payments via the Cedar portal to be posted by Patient Accounts
  • Prepare live checks to be sent via FedEx to 5 / 3 every Wednesday by the Patient Accounts Senior
  • Classification of manual vs. EDI deposits logged to department spreadsheets daily
  • Verification of checks on EDI exchanges by using function 52 Billing Center Check Search within IDX / GE
  • Call carriers and visit websites to obtain missing remittance advices
