We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Senior Engineer who will participate in software development for medical device applications.  Responsibilities span the software development life-cycle, including requirements definition, design, construction, test, and maintenance.  They will conduct feasibility of proposed designs to determine their ability to function as intended.  Develop and maintain detailed documentation for both internal and external customers.  Operates within defined processes and procedures to identify necessary activities and determine appropriate actions.

Senior Engineer (Research & Development- Software)

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop software through all phases of the software development life-cycle, employing various models and methods.
• May lead the development of software features and/or mentor less experienced software engineering staff.
• Provide software product technical support to both internal and external customers.
• Identify risks and resolve issues that may negatively impact project schedules, and identify solutions to improve project schedules.
• Ability to operate independently and exercise good judgement.
• Ability to perform in a fast paced, Agile environment.

Senior Engineer (Research & Development- Software)

Qualifications

Minimum knowledge & experience required for the position:

• Fifth year college or university program certificate with 2-4 yrs related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Full stack developer with demonstrable ability developing complex software products through all phases of the software development life-cycle, employing various models and methods. Experience with developing prototype platforms and realizing them as commercial products.
• Proficiency with Spring Boot for Java applications required
• Proficiency with Tauri framework required
• Experience with front-end development using Angular and Typescript
• Familiarity with DB engines such as PostgreSQL
• Experience working with XML, JSON, java-script required
• Experience working in Agile environment.
• Experience working in Jira
• Knowledgeable in software configuration, build, and release management
• Experience with code reviews, unit and integration testing
• Experience with integrated development environments and software development applications
