Impact Institute requires a paraprofessional to perform a variety of activities, to assist in the conduct of training and learning disabilities with students experiencing mild/moderate cognitive or emotional disabilities, to perform a variety of routine clerical and supportive activities for instructional personnel, and to do other related work as required. Part-time, 28 hours/week.
Requires 1-2 years experience. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Essential duties include:
- Work with individual or small groups of students who have mild/moderate cognitive or emotional disabilities as directed by the teachers.
- Make effective use of instructional materials and demonstrate effective methods of instruction to ensure that the individual student performance levels, needs, and abilities are addressed.
- Exercise behavior management and maintain control of students assigned to his/her care.
- Collaborate with teachers in the special education and general education and classrooms.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
