Description
Impact is hiring a Jr. Corporate Attorney to join our Nationally ranked Best and Brightest Workplace! The Junior Corporate Attorney will serve as part of the in-house corporate counsel team and handle complex legal matters and projects.
Responsibilities
- Commercial transactions: negotiating master services agreements, vendor agreements and general commercial agreements
- Oversight of litigation: work with Senior Corporate Attorney to oversee active litigation as well involvement in pre-litigation and collection matters
- Compliance: reviewing and keeping the company up to date on any regulation changes that relates to the company’s business
- Corporate governance: involvement in the general governance of the company and its affiliates
- Support commercial matters for various internal departments, including Marketing and HR
Things We Are Looking For
JD from an ABA accredited Law School- Active license to practice law and capable of meeting in-house admission requirements in Illinois
- 1 to 3 years of experience as an in-house counsel or an associate at a law firm with a focus on transactional, corporate regulations and/or corporate governance
- Experience in corporate governance, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, entity formations, and M&A
- Strong contract drafting and project management skills and a keen attention to detail
- Ability to successfully manage competing priorities
- Excellent writing, analytical and interpersonal skills
Additional Experience Preferred
- Any experience involved in commercial litigation
- Experience and/or knowledge of cybersecurity, intellectual Property and/or privacy laws and standards (US and Internationally)
