Our client is looking for a Quality Engineer. They are a foundry operation making parts for aerospace and defense industry. The company is located between Madison and Milwaukee. Career growth and rewarding challenges are part of the offering. This position will report to the Quality Manager.
Due to the military work the company does, you must be a US Citizen.

A growing $200 million organization with 1,300 employees and 6 divisions
Production orders booked out for a year.
Markets served include defense and aerospace
This division is an investment casting foundry with 100 team members
Certifications include: AS9100, ISO 9001, Nadcap, and ASNT Levels II & III.

What they will be doing:
Review purchase orders, drawings, and specification requirements from a quality perspective.
Communicate and negotiate requirements with customers.
Provide forward-thinking product quality planning and translation of requirements to operations.
Responsible for maintenance and improvement to certification databases and systems.
Maintain lines of communication with internal and external customers and suppliers.
Provide support on quality issues to Operations, Engineering, and Sales.
Conduct internal and external supplier audits to assure compliance to quality system, processes, and schedules. Identify opportunities and issues with suppliers.
Lead product corrective action activities as needed.
Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities.
Ensure customer verification and acceptance is completed.
What they are looking for:
BS in Engineering preferred, but any technical 4-year degree will be considered.
5 years of experience working in quality engineering within either the aerospace or defense industries.
Preference for experience with MIL-STD, ISO 9000 and AS9100 standards.
Some experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, PPAP, FMEA or root cause analysis is preferred.
Good customer relations skills
Experience with auditing, including internal and supplier audits, as well as complying with customer audits
