We are searching for a Senior Accountant – Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting for a publicly traded, diversified holding company with $11BB in annual revenue and $28BB AUM. This is a newly created position due to ongoing expansion of the business. Corporate HQ is located in Miami, FL.  This role is highly visible and offers advancement within other areas including M&A, divestiture, post-acquisition integration, and FP&A. Excellent opportunity for professional and financial growth. CPA or similar designation required.

Compensation is up to $130,000 base salary annual bonus and full benefits including health, vision, dental, 401K w match, paid holidays, vacation, sick days, short/long term disability, life insurance, advanced education reimbursement, etc. Relocation provided for the right candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

§Lead and facilitate the preparation of technical accounting position papers and other deliverables associated with a variety of accounting transactions.
§ Assist with the preparation and filing of the 10-K/10-Q reports including footnotes and disclosures.
Collaborate directly with Senior Executive Leadership, providing feedback and suggestions regarding process improvements and best practices within the technical accounting and financial reporting team.
§ Research and stay abreast on new pronouncements and guidance from the SEC, FASB, and other standard setters to ensure compliance.
§  Participate in discussions regarding complex accounting transactions related to new business initiatives, M&A, divestures, post-acquisition integrations, etc.
§Assist with special projects and ad hoc analyses.

REQUIREMENTS

§  Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related area
§  At least 2 years of related SEC and SOX exposure
§  Recent/previous experience within a Top 20 CPA firm
§  Excellent written/verbal communication
§  Professional drive, solid work ethic, and leadership potential
