Publicly traded company located downtown Phoenix is actively looking for an Senior SEC Financial Reporting Analyst. This is an in office role.
The Senior SEC Financial Reporting Analyst position will facilitate the end-to-end development of Company’s financial reporting package including consolidation of corporate and segment accounting, along with ensuring alignment to SEC and industry standards. The person in this role will also assist in the department’s execution and continuous improvement of the financial reporting process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior SEC Financial Reporting Analyst position will facilitate the end-to-end development of Company’s financial reporting package including consolidation of corporate and segment accounting, along with ensuring alignment to SEC and industry standards. The person in this role will also assist in the department’s execution and continuous improvement of the financial reporting process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads the preparation of the financial statements, footnotes, management discussion and analysis, and other sections of the Quarterly and Annual Reports on SEC Forms 10-Q/K, as well as the related earnings release, by preparing supporting schedules and reviewing those provided by other departments
- Ensure accuracy of information presented in SEC filings by performing tie-outs to source documents and collaborating with other functional groups to draft appropriate disclosures in accordance with GAAP
- Assist in preparing quarterly Board of Directors meeting materials and facilitate the internal review of the completed materials
- Assist in preparing the company’s consolidated financial statements by preparing intercompany adjusting and eliminating entries
- Perform detailed financial and variance analysis of significant accounts, as well as other standard and ad-hoc analysis, as needed
- Assist in researching and preparing conclusions on technical accounting matters
- Managing equity awards in Company’s stock compensation plans via third party software
- Conduct special projects, prepare ad-hoc reports and other analyses at leadership team’s request
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of experience in public accounting, or 5 years in financial analysis and/or reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study
- CPA required, or CPA certification in process at a minimum
- Comfortable with Excel pivot tables, graphs, and advanced Excel functions
