Job Title: Neurosurgeon
Location: Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania

Job Summary: We are searching for an ABNS certified or eligible Neurosurgeon with experience in General Neurosurgery and interest in Spine Surgery. The successful candidate will join a 412 bed Level II Trauma Center, the largest community hospital in Northeast Pennsylvania, and the neurosurgical referral center for all hospitals in the region. He or she will be expected to excel in General Neurosurgery and share trauma and general neurosurgery call responsibilities on a regular basis with other faculty members.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform surgeries in an IMRIS operating suite and Phillips endovascular suite
- Provide neurological care to patients in accordance with best practices
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Supervise trainees, residents and medical students
- Participate in research and teaching activities
- Maintain patient records in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid ABNS certification or eligibility
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurological Surgery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Commitment to providing excellent patient care
- Working knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
Experience and Skills:
- Previous experience in General Neurosurgery
- Interest in Spine Surgery
- Ability to use the latest technology to compliment practice and maximize skills
- Proficiency in the use of medical software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
