What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Impactful Resources?
Multi brand distribution and manufacturing company in La Palma is looking for a talented Controller to join the team! This position is onsite every day and reports to the CFO and is responsible for overseeing accounting team as well as oversee activities of inventory costing, product manufacturing analysis, prepaids, fixed assets, cash and other duties as assigned. You will also be responsible for managing the ecommerce division
Essential Responsibilities
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with GAAP.
- Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
- Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking relationships and Asset Based Loan reporting.
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk
- Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
- Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
- Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements including Sales Taxes, Property Taxes (Secured and Unsecured) and various Business Licenses.
- Maintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned to obtain company’s goals.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- A minimum of 5 years of corporate accounting experience.
- CPA or CMA preferred but not required
- Excellent management skills
- Deep experience maintaining the inventory sub-ledger in a manufacturing company.
- Ability and experience to independently analyze, troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Capable of managing a broad range of activities that may require multi-tasking.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including MS Excel skills.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and the ability to meet dedicated timelines of deliverables.
- High standards that embrace and contribute to cohesive teamwork and a professional environment.
- Good communication skills & A positive mindset.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
