ROLE PURPOSE

BACKGROUND

 

The Impax fixed income team is seeking a summer intern to assist in fundamental research that will support the corporate credit team. Corporate bonds populate the Core Bond and High Yield strategies which are aligned with the transition to a more sustainable economy.

 

OBJECTIVE

 

The summer assignment will consist of a sector based fundamental research which will be used and integrated into the team’s 10 step research framework.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

TASKS

  • Gather fundamental data for the specific sectors
  • Gather sustainability related data and metrics for companies in the portfolios
  • Assimilate this data into research documents in support of the investment thesis
  • Present findings to the team as required

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE

  • Working knowledge of accounting and financial statements is highly desirable
  • Pro-active and self-motivated with the ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to identify areas for improvement
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg and Excel would be beneficial
