Electrical Test Technician (Mojave Test Site)

Compensation: $35.00 - $45.00 / hour
Description
As an Electrical Test Technician at Impulse Space, you will own all aspects of electrical test equipment implementation and operation while working closely with a fast paced, agile team.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication, assembly and integration of electrical, power and data acquisition systems
- Maintain major test facility assets including power supplies, distribution panels, solar cells and gas generators
- Effectively troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation issues
- Install, maintain and repair AC and DC wire harnessing for test equipment.
- Maintain tools, service shop equipment, and stock consumables.
- Work with outside contractors on electrical facilities projects
- Provide direct test support for rocket engine testing
- Provide training and guidance to other technicians
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 5 years of professional experience in aerospace or other relevant operations or test environment
- Proficient with wiring and electrical systems
- Proficient with basic fabrication tools and processes (electric/pneumatic power tools)
- Ability to troubleshoot problems with electrical systems and implement scrappy solutions
- Ability to fabricate parts and assemblies from basic technical requirements
Preferred Skills and Experiences:
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced agile development environment
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, an understanding for drawing symbols, flag notes and general notes
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, with knowledge of standard operating procedures
- Attention to detail and accuracy while working within a fast-paced production environment
- Experience with data acquisition and instrumentation systems
- Experience with writing, using, and updating test procedures, checklists, and documentation
- Experience with bonding strain gauges and accelerometers
- Experience with calibration/metrology of pressure, flow, temperature, and electrical test devices
- Experience with multimeters and basic electrical troubleshooting tools

- Flexible schedule and willing to travel as needed

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
