Position Summary

The Provider Relations Specialist will help evaluate and negotiate contracts in compliance with company contract templates, reimbursement structure standards, and other key process controls.

Responsibilities also include establishing and maintaining strong business relationships with Hospital, Physician, Pharmacy, or Ancillary providers, and ensuring the network composition includes an appropriate distribution of provider specialties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :

  • Provide administrative support to the Network Development team.
  • Load contracts into the system and pulling contract as needed.
  • Research and collect provider documents to expedite credentialing and provide follow-up as needed on collecting provider applications.
  • Ensure all contracts are loaded and exceptions are raised.
  • Follow up with providers to get missing documents and keep logs of what has been submitted and provider follow-up.
  • Contracting role, negotiating with both par and non-par groups.

Minimum Qualification (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Excellent Organizational Skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with healthcare providers of all specialitys.
  • Minimum of two years experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office.
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges on a regular basis.
