In Balance Intensive Outpatient Program was founded in 1996 and provides hope and recovery for those in the greater Tucson community struggling with drug, alcohol, and co-occurring mental health issues. We incorporate emotional, social, physical, and spiritual aspects of healing into our approach utilizing a group setting founded in clinical sophistication that includes experiential therapies such as equine therapy, art therapy, and other modalities. In Balance Intensive Outpatient clients receive an initial assessment and 30 group therapy sessions that take place three times a week during three-hour sessions, and our goal is to ensure that clients experience deep growth from each and every session.

The program has earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Behavioral Health Care Accreditation, a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to providing safe and effective care. In Balance Intensive Outpatient is family owned and operated and is a proud member of the greater In Balance Continuum of Care.
