The IRA Coordinator has the responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the assigned IRA and provides leadership, guidance, and supervision. As well as directly ensuring program development, implementation, and documentation in assigned IRA promotes and reflects person-centered practices.
- A minimum of 50% of hours worked weekly are to be spent on the floor. This includes a minimum of one day of each weekend on a weekly basis.
- Provide ongoing support, supervision and trainings on rules, regulations, agency policies and procedures, and industry best practices to the IRA direct-care team. This support will include documented progressive discipline when necessary.
- Provide and maintain the highest levels of person-centered direct care to ensure effective, efficient delivery of services while serving as a model for that care to all assigned employees. This includes, but is not limited to, the effective, efficient implementation of all aspects of Life Plans, Staff Action Plans, Behavior Support Plans, IPOPs, fire safety plans, defined levels of supervision, nursing directives, internal and external POCAs, the DSP Core Competencies, the NADSP Code of Ethics, In Flight, Inc. policies and procedures, and all other best practices of direct care.
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate degree preferred.
Requirements:
- Supervisory experience in an OPWDD-licensed setting
- Computer skills required.
- Valid NYS driver license with driving record that meets In Flight and insurer’s standards
- Must have a flexible schedule
