JOB SUMMARY:
Delivers our signature In-Shape Member Experience by providing a clean, safe, and maintained club environment for all members. Interacts positively and professionally with all staff, members, guests and prospects while monitoring club cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards. Also responsible for completing project specific tasks, not limited to; overall general building maintenance tasks, preventative maintenance, monitoring and operating pools, basic plumbing, paint, and facility upkeep.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes assigned cleaning tasks and areas per cleanliness and safety standards
- Performs general facility maintenance (painting, changing light bulbs, unclogging toilets etc.)
- Assists Facility Technician on skill appropriate tasks
- Coordinates projects as assigned in partnership with the General Manager/Assistant Manager/Facility Technician and general staff
- Performs regularly assigned House Keeping tasks including but not limited to the following;
- Vacuuming/Dusting/Mopping
- Cleaning bathrooms, shower areas & locker rooms
- Cleaning workout equipment
- Cleaning hardwood & rubber floors
- Cleaning mirrors/glass
- Cleaning parking lot area
- Towels – collect, launder & fold
- Amenity specific cleaning needs (i.e. tennis and/or racquetball courts) - Maintains the balance and cleanliness of bodies of water (where applicable):
- Chemical testing of the water and ensuring proper chemical balance
- Vacuuming the body of water
- Back flush and clean filters
- Cleaning of deck area
- Adding chemicals
- Documenting chemical levels and actions on pool/spa online or manual chemical log - Maintains cleanliness record keeping through House Keeping checklists and communication logs
- Maintains a safe environment through correct implementation of safety policies and procedures
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Effectively communicate (verbal and writing skills) in English
- Lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
- Ability to Sit, Squat, Stand, Walk, Kneeling, Bending/Neck Twist, Twisting Neck/Waist, Balancing, Pulling, Pushing, and Stacking
- Bilingual skills a plus
- Experience in a professional setting providing general housekeeping
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals
- Current CPR certification or ability to pass CPR certification within 60 days of hire date
- Flexible, positive attitude and physically capable of doing the job
Work Environment/ Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, changes in temperature/humidity; moving mechanical parts and vibration and exercise equipment; frequently required to stand, walk 4-8hours/8 hour day; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; and frequently use both feet and move them forward/backward and side to side; seldom required to sit; frequently to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and continuously reach and twist, including side-to-side movements; carry or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift, carry or move 26-50 pounds.
