Roles & Responsibilities
- Experience working with the Network system side of Mainframe environments in a parallel sysplex environment
- Be able to use TSO/ISPF sufficiently
- Be knowledgeable in z/OS Communication Server SNA and TCP/IP -multiple LPAR environments
- Security knowledge -Policy Agent knowledge -Encryption knowledge" -VTAM
- Implement and regularly review Automation and Dependency of systems Mainframe IMS Admin
- Provides complex database support activities
- Designs and completes Database Administration Maintenance tasks.
- Completes Complex database changes and application implementations.
- Understands and works within incident and change management principles and best practices
- Analyzes, tests and implements changes and enhancements to database management software and databases.
- Mentor Database Administrator's Collaborates with technology/infrastructure staff to identify database relationships and functional requirements; analyzes and resolves issues related to information flow and content.
- Performs Database performance and tuning activities
- Performs special projects as assigned or directed.
- Understands and able to communicate database management software Licensing knowledge.
- Provide off-shift support for database support/incidents.
