Job Overview
Our Landscape Foremen report to the Production Manager for the Landscape Division. This job is performed at various locations at homes, businesses, and HOAs in areas surrounding York, PA. Under direction, the Landscape Foremen work outdoors to lead a team in creating or improving lawns, gardens, patios, and other landscape features.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervise a team to ensure they are productive and safe in their daily tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of materials and labor & completing necessary paperwork.
- Drive a truck with an attached trailer to and from job sites.
- Train new crew members on the appropriate use of tools and methods for trimming, pruning, planting, mulching, mowing, etc.
- Safely utilize a variety of hand tools and motorized tools to maintain landscapes.
- Safely operate chainsaws, edgers, gas shears, skid steers, etc.
- Directing the work of the other crew members to optimize efficiency
- Execute design installation plans and follow other instructions to trimming trees and bushes, mulch gardens, dig holes.
- Perform manual tasks to install hardscape, cut down trees or heavy branches, and remove debris, etc.
- Work as a unified member of the team to complete landscape jobs with the highest level of quality and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times.
- Perform snow removal tasks in the winter.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years previous landscape experience required.
- PA Pesticide certification a plus.
- Valid driver’s license required, CDL a plus
- Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) a plus
- Excellent customer service skills, polite and courteous
- Punctual and dependable
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task, and provide detailed instructions
- Use necessary technology in the field to access and record job information
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work overtime hours as needed
