Manager to Assoc Dir, Research Contracts Mgmt

The contracts management role coordinates the process for contracting scientific research and other business needs with external partners. The incumbent works with contract requestors, Incyte legal and vendors to achieve the approval of vendor contracts, scientific research agreements and master service agreements.

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)

· Facilitate and manage the review process for all assigned contracts (submission to execution)

· Review contract intake forms; work with contract sponsors to obtains missing information

· Submit contract requests into ICE-360 for legal review and procurement review (if applicable)

· Liaise with sponsors, Incyte legal & vendors in negotiations until fully executed

· Work with contract sponsors & vendors to ensure timely completion of:

· INC required assessments (Privacy, Cybersecurity, PVG), as applicable

· New Vendor Forms (for all new vendors)

· QA qualification

· Submit PO requests (on behalf of Contract Sponsors) to Accounts Purchasing

· Train new contract sponsors and super-users, as needed

· Build strong relationships and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and quality execution of all his/her assigned projects.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)

· Bachelor degree (B.A., B.S.) is required. Advanced degree in science is preferred

· Minimum of 7 (B.A., B.S.) or 5 (M.Sc.) years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry or related fields

· Experience with the contracting process and platforms in a biopharma environment

· Demonstrated high level of competence with computers is essential

· Extensive experience with MS Office Applications is required

· Demonstrate success in developing effective solutions to complex problems is required

· Demonstrate success in establishing successful working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external key stakeholders

· Must be a dependable self-starter. Must be capable of working independently on multiple projects with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines

· Must possess excellent organization skills, and be able to operate effectively in a heavily metricized organization, where a demanding workload requires balancing multiple responsibilities simultaneously

· Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal interaction skills
