What You Will Do:
- Have a thorough understanding of all Exception Processing operations and oversees the day to day activities of the Department.
- Work to improve quality assurance by reviewing output of department for accuracy and compliance (i.e. Dispute timeframes, Holds placed accurately, ACH return timeframes).
- Trains new Exception Processors and coordinates annual continuing education for department
- Creates and maintains current procedures. Documents, reviews and trains on procedure changes for Exception Processing Department.
- Maintain a complete understanding of all regulations that affect the duties performed by the team. Including, but not limited to ACH, Reg CC, Reg E, and Card.
- Serve as a resource and provide customer service to areas as it pertains to Exception Processing.
- Assists with Internal and External Audits. Address audit concerns as they pertain to the department.
- Manage personnel related issues such as: regular schedule, hire or termination, time record, schedule coverage for personal and vacation days, and schedule regular performance reviews.
- Helps to develop and prepare for future needs in the department.
- Responsible for implementing new processes and products in the department.
- Set and achieve department goals.
- Prepare monthly reports for management.
- Able to perform all functions within the department, and assist with balancing functions as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
- High School Diploma. NACHA certification is a plus.
- Banking and Supervisory experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Computer knowledge along with a technical aptitude.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, detail oriented, and able to work in an environment with strict deadlines.
- Strong understanding of NACHA rules.
