What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Recruiting Specialist position at Independent living Association, Inc?

Function:

  • Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resource Recruiter is responsible for the development and implementation of recruitment strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Specific duties include the following but are not limited to:

  • Manage all recruitment and selection efforts for both exempt and non-exempt positions. Review and closeout applications.
  • Coordinate and attend job/career fairs and open houses. Act as liaison with employment agencies and Department of Labor. Manage online recruitment database. Post advertisements in the newspaper and other media.
  • Conduct all telephone pre-screens for potential candidates.
  • Extend job offers for Managers and ensure new employees complete pre-employment process.
  • Complete SEL pre-hire background check
  • Responsible for the internal and external posting of all openings in the Agency.
  • Liaison with Supervisors and Area Coordinators to assess staffing needs.
  • Post monthly vacancies and update monthly staffing patterns.
  • Conduct pre-orientation which includes collecting all pre-employment documentation, job descriptions and DOL pay rate notifications, and position selection.
  • Orientation duties as assigned.
  • Oversee Employee Recognition Programs
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, and Human Services required. Master’s preferred.
  • Knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
  • Must have 3-5 years’ experience in a recruitment role working in a Human Resource department.
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational communication skills.
  • SHRM Certification preferred.
  • Must have a valid drivers’ license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
